Corrective chiropractic care in Burnsville, MN — structural rehab that retrains posture and spinal alignment to fix the root cause of pain, not just chase symptoms.

Eagle Trace Spine & Sport

Corrective Care in Burnsville

Most pain relief is temporary because it never addresses why the problem started. Corrective care at Eagle Trace Spine & Sport goes a step further — Dr. Jeff Plaster builds a structured plan of specific adjustments, spinal rehab, and posture retraining to actually change the alignment of your spine over time. The goal isn't just to feel better for a week; it's to fix the structural problem driving the pain so it stops coming back.

How Corrective Care works at Eagle Trace Spine & Sport

How it works

What to expect with corrective care

  1. Step 1

    Structural exam

We start with a detailed posture and spinal assessment — and X-rays when needed — to measure exactly where your alignment has drifted and what's driving your symptoms.

  2. Step 2

    A progressive correction plan

Dr. Plaster designs a phased program of specific adjustments and spinal rehab that rebuilds healthy motion and curve over time, not just a quick crack-and-go.

  3. Step 3

    Retrain and maintain

Posture drills and at-home exercises lock in the gains so your spine holds its new position — and we track progress with follow-up assessments along the way.

The basics

About corrective care

Years of desk work, phone use, old injuries, and daily habits gradually pull the spine out of its healthy alignment. The natural curves flatten or reverse, posture collapses forward, and the muscles, discs, and nerves are forced to work under constant strain. Once that becomes your "normal," a single adjustment can't undo it — the structure has adapted and needs to be retrained.

Corrective care treats the spine the way an orthodontist treats teeth: with a consistent, progressive plan that guides the structure back toward where it should be. Specific adjustments restore joint motion, targeted rehab strengthens the muscles that hold your alignment, and posture retraining rebuilds the habits that keep it there. It takes more commitment than symptom care — and it's the difference between managing pain and actually resolving it.

Corrective Care at Eagle Trace Spine & Sport in Burnsville

What is corrective chiropractic care?

Corrective care is a structured approach to fixing the structure of your spine — not just easing the symptoms it produces. Where standard adjustments relieve pain visit by visit, corrective care combines specific adjustments with spinal rehabilitation and posture retraining in a progressive plan designed to restore healthy alignment over time.

At Eagle Trace Spine & Sport in Burnsville, Dr. Jeff Plaster uses corrective care for patients whose pain keeps coming back — the people who get relief from an adjustment but find the same problem returns a week later. That pattern is usually a sign the underlying structure needs to be retrained, not just adjusted.

What to expect

Your plan begins with a detailed structural exam — posture analysis and, when appropriate, X-rays — so we can measure exactly where your alignment has drifted. From there, Dr. Plaster maps out a phased program: an initial corrective phase with more frequent visits to restore motion and curve, followed by a strengthening and stabilization phase that tapers as your spine holds its new position.

Throughout, you’ll work on targeted rehab and posture drills both in the office and at home. Follow-up assessments let us show you real, measurable progress instead of asking you to take it on faith.

Corrective Care FAQ

Still have questions? Contact us — we're happy to help.

How is corrective care different from regular adjustments?+

Regular adjustments relieve pain and restore motion visit-to-visit. Corrective care adds spinal rehab and posture retraining in a structured, phased plan designed to change your alignment over time — so the underlying problem resolves rather than recurring.

How long does a corrective care plan take?+

It depends on how long the problem has been developing and what your exam and X-rays show. Most structural plans run a few months of more frequent visits that taper as your spine holds its corrections. Dr. Plaster will give you a clear timeline after your assessment.

Will I need X-rays?+

Often, yes. X-rays let us measure your spinal curves and alignment precisely so the plan is based on your actual structure — and so we can show you measurable progress rather than guessing.

Is corrective care safe?+

Yes. It uses the same gentle, controlled adjustments as standard chiropractic care, paired with rehab exercises matched to your ability. We screen thoroughly during your exam and adjust the plan to your body.

“I started coming to Eagle Trace after a car accident because I was having a lot of back and neck pain. Dr. Jeff has been great to work with and has helped me feel much better over time. They offer many treatments, including spinal decompression, rehabilitation exercises, back roller machines, chiropractic adjustments, and massage therapy. The entire team is friendly, caring, and always takes the time to make sure you are comfortable. What I appreciate most is that I never feel rushed during my appointments. “I had a deep tissue massage with Carol and it was exceptional. I had tightness, stiffness in specific areas and could not stand upright. After her 1hr session I could quickly, comfortably stand upright. I felt better but sore, need a day of recovery being an older gentleman. She very is professional. All of this through a Groupon I purchased. No downsizing in services because of the Groupon like another place ahem-Massage MN. 1 session and she got to the root cause. I definitely will book her services again and the location is not bad. 5 Stars for Carol. UPDATE: 6/3/26 I went in to see Dr. Jeff for Chiropractic Adjustments under my Groupon and I can confidently say Dr Jeff is an exceptional Doctor. He is one of the rare Physicians that has a deep passion for his profession. He utilizes new chiropractic techniques/technologies and is educated on the one that are bad for you. I came in with lower back, calf leg, tight glutes pain and his 1st adjustment made a difference that I can now as I typing this can feel. I am looking forward to his treatments in the future. From my recent past experience with a Groupon Chiropractor-HealthSource Edina I was treated substandard by comparison to Eagle Trace. Many businesses that decide to use Groupon as a way to get clients/customers in truth do not want to do so and it shows by the way they provide substandard service as I received through HealthSource. Eagle Trace Spine and Sport treats his clients/customers with respect, appreciation, enthusiasm, attention to detail and above all the massage and chiropractic services are EXCEPTIONAL. If you are seeking highly educated Chiropractic Services and immediately effective Massage Therapy Services I recommend Eagle Trace Spine and Sport-Burnsville, MN.”
